Bivouac & Company, LLC

Is a Veteran-Owned Small Business (SBD) (VOSB) (SDVOSB) comprised of a team of professionals with diverse subject matter expertise who were brought together in order to better serve both government and civilian customers with Land & Infrastructure Management.

In his 1841 dictionary, Noah Webster observed Bivouac to be a French word, having military origins.

  • As a Noun- “The guard or watch of a whole army, as in cases of great danger of surprise or attack"

  • As a Verb- "To watch or be on guard, as a whole army"

The French word is derived from the Low German word Biwacht, which translates to "by guard." Germans used the word specifically for a patrol of citizens who assisted the town watch at night.

It’s for this reason, we chose Bivouac as our name. We believe it best embodies the Mission of our company, which is to watch over and steward critical infrastructure, and thereby ensure the wellbeing of the general public and wildlife are both considered in everything we do.

In essence, we strive to strike synergy between natural habitat, wildlife, and humanity.

Each member of the management team has significant experience in their respective areas of expertise.
