Forestry mulching is a highly efficient method of clearing land that involves using a specialized machine to cut, grind, and eliminate vegetation.

Our machines, known as a forestry mulcher, are equipped with a rotating drum fitted with steel chipper tools or blades that shred vegetation. Our machines come in various forms, including application-specific tractors, and mulching attachments for: forestry tractors, skid steers, and excavators.

Depending on the terrain, slope/grade, vegetation density, and type of material, our heavy-duty forestry mulchers can clear up to 12-15 acres of vegetation a day.

Our mulching machines offer an efficient solution for land clearing by processing trees and vegetation in place, this eliminates the need for site preparation, cutting, felling, hauling, and clean-up. Meaning multiple machines such as bulldozers, excavators, tree shears, chippers, and haulers are not required, reducing fuel usage, emissions, and ultimately project cost.

Additionally, some of our mulching machines can operate in small or tight areas, on steep slopes, in poor ground conditions, and even in wet or snowy weather where larger equipment often struggle.

Compared to traditional land clearing methods, which often increase the risk of erosion by disturbing soils and uprooting trees, our mulching machines can clear land with minimal soil disturbance. By leaving the soil structure intact, the mulched material acts as a natural barrier against erosion while returning nutrients to the soil through decomposition. Over time, the mulch breaks down, allowing grass to grow naturally and be easily maintained with routine mowing.
